HOW DO THE DYE TABLETS WORK?

Trace Marine Dye Tablets act as a coloring label on each drop of water. The Dye Tablets absorb light in the visible range of the spectrum. They are fluorescent because upon absorbing light, they instantly emit light at a longer wavelength than the actual light absorbed. This emitted (fluorescent) light goes out in all directions. Most common fluorescent tracers are compounds, which absorb green light and emit red fluorescent light. In other words, our dye tablets highlight any sewage seeping out of you holding tank or faulty Y-valve. It even works with blacklights for night time visibility.

HOW DOES THE BILGE SOCK WORK?

Oil/gas absorbent socks and pads are strategically placed around the bilge area. Before the water is drawn to the bilge pump for discharge, the oils in the bilge are extracted inside the sock. The bilge sock does not absorb water. Additionally, these oil/gas absorbent socks are provided for the engine and transmission areas to extract any synthetic products and dangerous vapors. These prorietary bilge socks are easy and efficient methods for helping to eliminate the likelihood of waste spills and explosions. The Trace Marine bilge socks are specifically developed for Trace Marine and actually alters the molecular structure of the petroleum hydrocarbons into a non Hazardous Material solid.

HOW SHOULD USED BILGE SOCKS BE DISPOSED?

Even though our bilge socks are completely non-hazardous and can be thrown in the trash, Trace Marine will provide pickup and disposal of used socks. An enclosed waste container for the bilge socks which will be located in a central location in both marinas. Trace will arrange to have the containers picked up and transported to a facility where they will be recycled and turned into energy

WHAT DOES PPM MEAN?
